The Permit Came Through — Almost

And that’s where the excitement hesitates for a moment.

The permit is real, the trail is real — but the start date isn’t exactly what I’d hoped for. March 8 feels early. Too early to feel relaxed about snow, conditions, or what’s still unknown.

So yes, the permit came through.
And no, it doesn’t immediately bring peace of mind.

Now it’s time to think, plan, wait — and see whether this date will change, or whether this is simply part of the trail deciding things for me.
