The Final Stretch

One last short stretch of 8 km to La Spezia, so that tomorrow we can travel back to the camper.

The start is pleasant enough, but there’s also quite a bit of asphalt. Well—when you approach a large city, hiking trails naturally become scarce.

We’ve reached La Spezia, a charming town with colorful streets, a relaxed atmosphere, and a rich maritime history.

With our arrival, we bring this hike to an end. Over six days, we’ve covered quite a few kilometers and elevation gains:

• Sestri Levante – Moneglia: 16.1 km | 656 m
• Moneglia – Bonassola: 15.3 km | 885 m
• Bonassola – Vernazza: 15.2 km | 837 m
• Vernazza – Riomaggiore: 12.2 km | 576 m
• Riomaggiore – Porto Venere: 16.2 km | 794 m
• Porto Venere – La Spezia: 8.9 km | 229 m

Total: 83.9 km, 3,977 meters of ascent, and over 40 hours on the move.

A beautiful journey past picturesque villages, steep climbs, and breathtaking views. Time to look back—and to start dreaming ahead.
