And that turned into quite an operation again—getting everything to fit properly into a ZPacks travel bag. That’s because I’m bringing more gear this time due to snow, cold, rain, meltwater, and the need for a bit more comfort.

But it fits! My base weight is now 7 kg, including snowshoes for the snow, waterproof VBL socks for the water, crampons for icy conditions, and a hammock for much, much more comfort. Once the snow is gone and the trail becomes walkable, I’ll send the snowshoes back.
