On the Way to Oslo

10:09 AM

Didn’t really sleep relaxed, but that was to be expected. Grabbed a few last things that suddenly popped into my head. Played the piano for a bit and pulled the bandoneon open, and then it was really time to leave for the station.

45 minutes later Anna and I are right in the middle of Schiphol. Heavily armed men walking around; “looks just like peace here.” I’d been given Gate 31. I could check in my bag right away—couldn’t be easier. And there was Arthur waving, Nina, Noe, Joan, and Patricia. Time flies and soon I’m heading to the gate. Bye, bye, waving goodbye. You’re through customs in no time. So where are all those shops? There are only two. Nice—2 hours of waiting in a long corridor where the gate number for the flight isn’t even known yet. I sat down at M2 and that turned out to be the correct gate straight away. After some problems with the plane, the door finally opened and I could take my seat. I was right at the front and had plenty of legroom with two windows.

Never flown before, but everything went fine. Did have some trouble with my ears, though—2 hours of flying is enough for me.

Got to the hotel pretty quickly. Had RoomService come by and just enjoyed doing absolutely nothing.
